Help us provide an emergency food distribution of canned fish and rice

We need your help to provide emergency food assistance - $10 makes a difference!

**20 July 2021 update** Thanks to your generosity and overwhelming response, we have exceeded our target of $7,500. We've also received pledges of approximately $1,500, so we are at a total of $9,100. This will allow us to cover all families with children enrolled at school, plus we will be able to provide a small cash gift of 10,000 riel ($2.50) per family to help with additional food or other needs.

However much we ultimately raise, we will use the entire sum to purchase as much food as we can. We will distribute the extra to the poorest villagers around the school. There is no shortage of need in the province, and your gifts will make a difference. Thank you again!

We recently got a report that one of our first graders was going hungry. We sent emergency food to him and his family and we're keeping a careful eye on him.

Now, we need to help the entire student body and their families. COVID-19 has devastated the Cambodian economy and is pulling millions back into poverty. Even though we can't open the cafeteria for in-person food service yet, we can provide a rice and canned fish distribution.

This is a situation where we need to be direct: we need your help. We're asking for $10 or $25, plus there is a blank field if you are able to give more. This will allow us to help us provide assistance to some people who are in very great need. The more we raise, the more people we can feed.

For $10, you can provide ten cans of sardines

For $25, you can provide ten cans of sardines and one 25kg (55 pound) bag of rice

We plan to provide the sardines and rice to each family. For any shortfall, the board will make up the difference from operational funds and personal donations. Please give whatever you can, and let us know if you have any questions--just $10 will make a positive impact for a family in need.

The province is currently in lockdown for two weeks. We will do the distribution on campus in conjunction with local authorities as soon as it is safe to do so and the lockdown has been eased.

Thank you in advance for your generosity!
